Understanding Insurance Company Sponsored Retirement Plans
by William Cohron

The Internet has changed and reshaped our daily lives by the way information is transmitted and distributed. Since the primary component of retirement plans is information, the Internet has acted as a catalyst for competition in the form of reduced costs and increased capabilities. Insurance Company Sponsored Retirement Plans are the most common type of retirement plans offered to businesses. They are also among the most expensive. Understanding how these plans work, why they are sold and where to look for hidden fees can keep you and your employees from making a costly mistake.

The goal of this book is to briefly explain the pros and cons of the most commonly sold retirement plan in the 401(k) and 403(b) product, called a group annuity, so you can make an informed decision of whether this type of product is best for you.
